World Centric certified compostable paper bowls are lined with NatureWorks
Ingeo, which is derived from plants grown in the USA. Most cups you'll find on
the market are lined with polyethylene and won't compost. Suitable for hot
foods up to 220 Fahrenheit Microwave and freezer safe Soak proof No plastic
or wax lining Conform to FDA guidelines for food use We believe that the best
way to protect the world’s forest is to reduce consumption of tree-based
products. Technologically, it's difficult to make something similar to these
paper bowls from alternative fibers. We are currently researching to see if
paper cups and bowls can be made from a mix of alternative fibers, recycled
fibers, and responsibly managed wood/paper fibers to create a more sustainable
product. In the meantime we carry lines that have improved on the standard
paper cup. Instead of using petroleum based plastics which create toxicity and
environmental pollution, you can now use our compostable alternatives. Not
recommended for high-wattage microwaves.
