Collection of four 8" x 10" and two 7" x 9" television still photographs from the famed "The Honeymooners" TV show, picturing Jackie Gleason, Art Carney, Audrey Meadows and Joyce Randolph. Images date from the 1950s, the 8" x 10" are second generation photos, the 7" x 9" appear to be first generation photos released by CBS in 1990. Overall EXMT or better condition with light wear, three are stamped on the back. Comes from the famed Lester Glassner Collection.
Lester Glassner amassed a collection of over 250,000 movie stills and countless movie posters (donated to the Library of Congress), pop culture artifacts and the like. His home in Manhattan had literally become a private museum. Having devoted his time to collecting, he financed his obsession through the photo archive business and the occasional sale of items in his collection.
