Metal Antique Vintage Mail Letter Slot Spring-loaded Decorative

Description

Up for auction is an antique/vintage mail slot. Heavy metal (cast-iron?).
Detailed embossed/carved design. "LETTERS" is spelled out on front flap.
Although it is in severe need of a clean-up, the spring-loaded opening works well and both its original (I assume them to be original) screws are also in good working condition.
Approximate measures: 7" x 2.3"
