This Miniature Remington 1867 Derringer Toy Cap Gun in a working spring-loaded Belt Buckle was made by Mattel
.  At about 3 inches long, the cap gun is made of diecast.  It is used, with surface wear and corrosion, as shown in photos.  The hammer cocks back and the trigger releases the hammer to snap forward
.  It locks into the belt buckle and the lever releases it to swivel forward, although the hammer hangs up on the Mattel logo.  It has corrosion from firing caps.  Included is the original shell of the shootin' shell cartridge but not the plastic toy bullet.  This toy cap gun is intended for adult collectors and not for children to play with.
This replica gun contains the colored markings required by law, including a permanently attached orange plug.
