    Commemorative Crown (UNC)
    This Crown is supplied in a protective clear capsule.
    The coin is viewable on both sides.
    The ceremony at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953 was one of
    solemn pomp
    and pageantry. Princes, peers, prime ministers and
    commoners heard the Queen
    take the Coronation Oath binding her to
    the service of her people of Britain and
    the Commonwealth.
    Gilbert Ledward, who had been commisioned to produce designs for the
    Great Seal of the Realm, adapted his beautiful equestrian portrait
    of the Queen for the obverse design.
    The reverse design is of heraldic devices and shield of arms by
    Edgar Fuller and modelled by Cecil Thomas.
