Extra Large Antique Hand-Forged Strap Hinge UNUSUAL DESIGN 28"
I discovered this single hand-forged strap hinge in the woodshed of my 1790's house in rural Vermont.  This was once a working 3000-acre sheep farm with many outer buildings that no longer stand.  Whenever digging around the place I often find old bits of iron, glass, pottery and even a string of sleigh bells.
Even though it is rusty, this was found inside a wall.  It is quite old, but sturdy and very elegant.
Measures in at 28" long and the hinge is 1 1/4".
The pintle hole is 7/16ths.  There is no mate or pintle to go with it--reproduction pintles are easy to come by.
