Covington's Maxi Laps are excellent units for grinding, shaping, and polishing small work pieces. All models have a cast aluminum body, three (3) quick-change aluminum heads (no hole) with hard or soft rubber, 1/3hp heavy duty motor with a carrying handle, instructions, and product guarantee. The aluminum head turns at 1410rpm. The 8" Standard Diamond Glass Maxi Lap comes with three (3) 8" x 1/2"-20RH thread quick-change aluminum heads and Covington's faster cutting diamond abrasive system. The faster cutting diamond abrasive system includes: two (2) 8" x no arbor hole resin bonded diamond sanding discs (220g & 1200g), a book about using diamond abrasives, and one (1) 8" x no arbor hole 1/8" thick felt polishing disc. All discs are affixed to a hard rubber face with "Stick-N-Peel" adhesive.
