The marriage of Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, to Lady Diana Spencer was called a fairy tale wedding.
Great Britain issued this 38.5mm copper-nickel 25 Pence coin in 1981 to commemorate royal wedding of Prince Charles to Lady Diana.
Pictured on one side are the busts of Charles & Diana.
The other side pictures Queen Elizabeth.
The marriage, which started with such promise, ended in divorce and Diana’s subsequent death in a tragic automobile accident.
The coin has always been popular with admirers of Lady Di as well as coin collectors.
