Lawrence Welk (1903-1992) was an American accordionist, bandleader, and television impresario, who hosted the television program The Lawrence Welk Show
from 1950-1982. His style of music became known as "champagne music".  The Lennon Sisters were with the show from 1955-1968 and the show sponsors were
Dodge and Plymouth.
